16 teams are still standing at this point in the 2014 NCAA baseball season. After the weekend, eight move on to the coveted College World Series in Omaha. Two facts that many probably already knew. But for those CAA fans who’ve been living under a rock, the league has one team still alive in the College of Charleston, which is currently riding the momentum train into its Super Regional matchup with Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.

Expectations were high for the College of Charleston volleyball team entering the 2013 season, despite knowing that the team was facing new competition during its first season in the CAA. Even as a newcomer, the Cougars were picked to finish first in the CAA during the preseason and earned respect quickly from their new league members by claiming 11 consecutive conference wins (and 21 victories overall), before losing their first CAA match.

UD’s Andrews Named Finalist for Yeardley Love Reynolds Unsung Hero Award

On Tuesday, Andrews was recognized by the One Love Foundation as a finalist for the 2014 Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award. The non-profit group is dedicated to ending relationship violence while the award was created in 2011 and is given to one male and female Division I lacrosse player that shares similar qualities that Yeardley is still remembered for.
