36 CAA Teams Earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards

May 21, 2015, 10:55 AM EST

A total of 36 teams from the CAA and CAA Football have earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards for posting Academic Progress rates in the top-10 percent of their respective sports, the association announced on Wednesday.

The NCAA recognized 1,124 total Division I sports teams for their performance in the most recent multi-year APR.Β The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams nationally. It measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester, and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in each sport.

“We congratulate each of the teams and individual student-athletes for their dedication to academic success,” said NCAA President Mark Emmert. “This achievement demonstrates their hard work and the commitment of NCAA member schools to provide students with an opportunity to succeed academically and athletically.”
