Weekly CAA VB Report — Sept. 8

Towson (6-0), Hofstra (7-1) and UNCW (6-1) have jumped out of the gates early in 2014 to sit near the top of the league standings. The Tigers have now started the season with at least five straight wins for the third time in the last five years. Hofstra, meanwhile, enjoyed a 4-0 week with three wins at the St. Francis-Brooklyn Invitational. Sr. Kelsie Wills is continually inching closer to becoming the Pride’s all-time kills leader and should reach that mark within two or three weeks. The Seahawks won all three matches at the East Carolina Tournament last weekend, while Morgan Kline has filled in nicely as the team’s top offensive threat.
