UD-JMU WLAX Collaborate To Raise Awareness For Domestic Violence

Apr 11, 2014, 12:25 PM EDT

Friday’s CAA women’s lacrosse matchup between James Madison and Delaware is a big one, not just because the two sit first and second, respectively, in the league standings but because both teams are coming together to support an even bigger cause off the field.

The Blue Hens and Dukes, in connection with the One Love Foundation, will wear special shirts prior to the game to help raise awareness and concern for domestic violence. It’s also to remember and honor former UVA women’s lacrosse player Yeardley Reynolds Love.

The tee-shirts were designed by UD redshirt freshman Elyse Andrews, while some of the proceeds generated will go towards benefiting the One Love Foundation.

Kuddos to both teams for taking time to work together for a great cause.

Fans can watch the game live and for free via bluehens.com.
