Aug 12, 2013, 4:42 PM EDT

On Monday’s edition of the #CAAMinute, Bobby Broyles sits down to first discuss upcoming CAA men’s soccer action. Northeastern, which returns eight starters from last year’s NCAA Tournament caliber squad, was favored to capture the league’s title for the second straight season, according to  a vote by the coaches of the league in the preseason poll. Just one season after Hofstra sophomore Leah Galton earned Rookie of the Year honors, the Pride forward was named as the league’s preseason Player of the Year, also voted on by its coaches. She ranked second in the CAA with 11 goals and 27 points last season. Broyles wraps up the action with some CAA men’s golf news. Two current players, Alex Ellis of the College of Charleston and Chris Crawford of Drexel, kicked off their opening rounds at the 2013 U.S. Amateur Championship in Brookline, Mass.
