George Mason Spotlights Softball Rookies

This last edition of Rookie Profiles features Casey Price and Sarah Solano. Price is a native of Mechanicsville, Va. where she attended Lee-Davis High School. While at Lee-Davis she was a member of the 2011 AAA Virginia softball championship team and was also the 2012 Central Region Player of the Year. Solano is from Valencia, Calif. and attended Valencia High School where she lettered in softball for three years. She was also named Scholar Athlete of the Year in her senior year.

— What is your favorite part about George Mason University, so far?

-Solano: The Birthday Cake ice cream at Southside.

-Price: All the new people I’ve met.

— Why did you choose George Mason University?

-Solano: Since I was a freshman in high school it has always been my dream to play Division I softball at a university on the east coast.

-Price: It’s just far enough away from home.
