Jan 14, 2013, 1:05 PM EDT

Towson University women’s lacrosse seniors Alexa DemskiSarah Hogan and redshirt juniorAshleigh Rohrback have been selected as captains for the 2013 season, coach Sonia LaMonica announced.

“We have three great captains to lead our squad through this 2013 campaign,” said LaMonica. “These athletes care deeply about our program and the players within it and they have worked extremely hard to embody all the characteristics that a captain should possess. I look forward to their great leadership this season.”

Demski is coming off a stellar junior season that saw her earn third team All-American honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Hogan played a key role for the Tigers in 2012 as she played in all 20 games and made her first career start in the NCAA Tournament game against Penn State. Rohrback became a key part of the Tigers’ offensive threat during the 2012 season.
