Hofstra slipped to 3-15 in the CAA last season, but seven of those losses were by six points or less. Imes, who missed the final five games last season due to injury, is the Pride’s top returning scorer (7.0 ppg) and rebounder (5.4 rpg). Mejia also battled injuries last season but finished strong, scoring double figures in five of Hofstra’s last seven games. Coombs-McDaniel averaged 5.6 ppg for UConn’s national championship team in 2010-11, while Buie contributed 5.8 ppg in 11 games as a freshman at Penn State.
