Hofstra Head Coach Bill Edwards

On Friday, Hofstra continued its torrid start to the season with a 4-1 win against Eastern Michigan and a 6-2 victory over Florida Gulf Coast in the opening day of the FGCU Tournament.

The two wins improved the Pride’s record to 6-1, with the FGCU outcome marking the 900th career victory for Hofstra Head Coach Bill Edwards. In his 25th season, Edwards has earned all of his wins with Hofstra. He became just the 23rd Division I coach in history to reach 900 career wins and his win total is the 14th-most among active Division I coaches. He has never had a losing season since taking over for the 1990 campaign. Edwards currently owns a 900-405-1 overall career record.

Congratulations Coach Edwards!
